Textile Conservation
The goal of all conservation work is to preserve our cultural heritage for future generations.
Whether an object is within a museum setting or held by a private collector, conservators must analyze and assess the objects before beginning any form of treatment to determine what the best course of action may be. This process helps to ensure that the object is treated properly and minimizes potential damage during treatment. Once the textile has been rigorously analyzed, recommendations on repair, stabilization, or cleaning methods are made in detailed reports. Click on the links below to see examples from the various categories of analysis and treatments available through KWO Textiles.
